Signing In

The Editor is behind a sign-in. Until you are signed in, the only thing on screen is the login dialog; there is no anonymous or read-only mode.

Signing in and signing up

The login dialog offers Sign up for a new account. Once you are signed in, the Editor restores whatever you had open last — see Opening a Text and Edition.

Changing your password

Your avatar in the top right opens a menu with Change password and Logout.

If you have forgotten your password, use the reset link from the login dialog. Following the emailed link brings you back to the Editor in a special state: you have a session, but the workspace stays closed until you have set a new password.

Signing out

Logout clears everything held in the browser — the current selection, any draft you had open, notifications, and cached reference data. Nothing is left behind on a shared machine.

Unsaved drafts are not kept

Signing out, like switching editions, discards any editor panel you have open without saving. Save or cancel first.

Roles

Most accounts are contributors: you create texts, editions, and lemmas of your own.

Administrators additionally get a wrench icon in the header, which opens the admin menu:

The wrench carries a red dot when lemma requests are waiting.
