About the Viewer
Glycerine Aksara Viewer is the public, read-only face of the corpus. It puts a published edition beside the manuscript image it was made from, with every reading anchored to the piece of the writing surface it came from — so any claim in the edition can be checked against the manuscript or inscription without leaving the page.
No account is needed. Anyone with the link can read.
What it gives you
- Deep-zoom images of each fragment, with the akṣaras of the edition outlined on the surface.
- A transliteration in which every syllable is linked to its akṣara. Click either one and the other lights up.
- Three display modes — diplomatic, hybrid, and reconstructed — over the same underlying record, so you can read what is on the surface or what the editor restores, without switching documents.
- A glossary of every lemma attested in the edition, with its attestations, and a paleography table collecting every instance of each syllable as a cut-out from the image.
- An edition report: the whole edition as one printable document.
